Note:-
1. The recruitment is open to all Indian citizens only. Recruitment to the postof SI and Constable is open for Female only whereas the post of Constable(TableBoy) is open only for Male candidates and rest are both for Male and Femalecandidates.
2. The vacancies may increase or decrease depending upon the position at thetime of final selection without any notice.
3. The posts are temporary but likely to become permanent.
4. Selected candidates are liable to be posted any where in the countryaccording to transfer policy of the Force.
5. The recruitment will be conducted on All India basis.
6. In case, where no vacancies in the posts are reserved for SC/ST/OBC, thecandidates of these reserved category may also apply for the post provided theyfulfill all the eligibility conditions for General category.
Qualification:
i) Should have passed 10+2 With science or equivalent from a recognizedBoard/Institution .
ii) Should have Degree or Diploma in Pharmacy granted by an institution ofCentral or State Government or an institution recognized by the Centralgovernment or State Government.
iii) Should be registered as a Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948 (8 of1948).
ELIGIBILITYCONDITIONS FOR ABOVE POSTS ARE AS UNDER:-
20 to 30 years.
Note:-
i) The crucial date to determine age will be 31.08.2012. The candidates mustfulfill all eligibility conditions and should be in possession of allcertificates as on 31-08-2012 i.e. the last date of receipt of application.
ii) Candidates not in possession of requisite education/technical qualificationcertificate, experience certificate or appearing in the examination/awaitingresult need not apply.
Relaxation:
(a) There will be relaxation in age for SC/ST/OBC (i.e. 5 years for SC/ST &3 years for OBC candidates).
(b) The upper age limit up to 05 years is relaxable in case of candidatesalready in Govt. service. Govt. employees / servants claiming age relaxationshould be in possession of certificate in prescribed format from their officein respect of the length of continuous service which should not be less than 03years in the immediate period preceding the date of recruitment / closing dateof receipt of application. They should continue to have the status of Govt.servant / employee till the time of appointment, in the event of theirselection. The candidate will have to produce NOC from his parent department atthe time of applying for the post / recruitment in SSB. However, departmentalcandidate may forward their application through proper channel from their headof offices. The concession will be admissible only where a Govt. employee hasrendered not less than 3 (three) years regular and continuous service in Govt.Deptt. as on closing date of application.
(c) The Relaxation in upper age limit of 5 years shall also be admissible toall posts mentioned in Para-1 for the candidates who had ordinarily beendomiciled in the state of J&K during the period from 01/01/1980 to31/12/1989. The candidate will have to produce a certificate from the concernedDistrict Collector to claim such relaxation in age.
(d) Five years of age relaxation will also be granted to the children anddependent family members of those killed in the 1984 riots and 2002 communalriots of Gujarat. Children mean (a) Son (including adopted son): or (b)Daughter (including adopted daughter) Dependent family members mean: (a) Spouse;or (b) Children; or Brother or Sister in the case of unmarried Govt. servantwho was wholly dependent on the Govt. servant at the time of his killing in theriot. The candidate will have to produce a certificate to the effect, issued bythe concerned District Collector to claim relaxation in age. Children anddependent family members of those killed in the riots (1984 riots 2002 communalriots of Gujarat) will also produce a certificate from the concerned DistrictCollector.
(e) The above relaxation in age as mentioned in para 2 (b) to (d) is inaddition to relaxation of 5 years in age for SC/ST and 3 years for OBCcandidates as per Govt. orders.
Note :- Candidates claiming benefits under OBC category shall be in accordancewith Casts notified in the Central List. The certificates should be in theprescribed format issued by the Competent Authority empowered for the purpose.No other certificate will be accepted as proof.

Relaxationwill be permissible in height and chest to the candidates of all posts asfollows:-
Height : Minimum height of candidates falling in the categories ofGarhwalis, Kumaonease, Gorkhas Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to theStates of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram,Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, State of Jammu & Kashmir will be 165cms. for male and 155 cms. for female. The minimum height for all candidatesbelonging to the Schedule Tribes will be 162.5 cms. for Male and 150 cms. forFemale.
Chest : The minimum chest for male candidates falling in the categoriesof: Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging tothe States of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram,Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, State of Jammu & Kashmir will be 78cms. MEDICALSTANDARD (FOR ALL POSTS) :- I) Eye Sight- For all above posts, the minimum distantvision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of two eyes without correction i.e. withoutwearing of glasses. II) The candidates for all above posts must not haveknock-knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and they should possesshigh colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free fromany physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of theduties. III) The selection board has the absolute discretion to reject oraccept any candidate after considering the report of the Medical Officer/board.

IMPORTANTINSTRUCTIONS: -
i) Applications submitted on a format, which is not the same, as published inthis advertisement, are liable to be rejected summarily.
ii) Candidates applying for more than one post should send separate applicationfor each post.
iii) Candidate should note that the Date of Birth as recorded in theMatriculation, 10+2 / Secondary Examination Certificate OR an equivalentCertificate on the date of submission of application, will be granted.
iv) If the above documents are not submitted along with the application, itwill be rejected summarily or at any stage of the recruitment process and norequest for reconsideration will be entertained.
v) Incomplete or unsigned applications, applications without attestedphotographs, applications received late will be rejected summarily.
vi) All candidates in Govt. service whether in a permanent or in temporarycapacity etc. will be required to submit their application through properchannel along with NOC. Application shall be rejected if received late or arenot complete in all respects as provided in the rules.

ix) In case any candidate is found ineligible or suppressing facts on anyground after his selection/appointment, his services will be terminated withoutassigning any reason.
x) The Government shall not be responsible for damage /injury/loss to theindividual, if any, sustained during the entire recruitment process andjourney.
xi) The DG SSB has full rights to make changes or cancel /postpone therecruitment without assigning any reason.
xii) Candidates canvassing in any form or bringing outside influence /pressure,offering illegal gratification, blackmailing or threatening to blackmail anyperson connected with recruitment will be disqualified.
xiii] Candidates impersonating and submitting the fabricated/forged documentsare also liable to be disqualified.
xiv) It should, however, be clearly understood that the Selection boardreserves to itself, absolute discretion to reject or accept any candidate atany stage.
xv) As the applications are to be processed by a computerized system, it isessential that the application is strictly in accordance with the prescribed,format, is properly and completely filled and contains nocorrection/alteration/overwriting.
xvi) Mere qualifying all the prescribed test in SSB recruitment does not conferthe right of selection of the candidate but they should have to stand in meritkeeping in view the available vacancies. The vacancies are subject to change.
xvii) The candidates provisionally selected for the above posts should qualifythe training or courses as prescribed by the Director General, Sashastra Seemafrom time to time during probation period. Failing which services are liable tobe terminated.
