Job description:
This role is the link between Demand Management and Master Production
Scheduling Processes to ensure on-time production of inventory and to
organize the utilization of production assets in a safe and efficient
manner to meet customer demands at minimum costs.
Major Responsibilities
Employee will monitor inventory levels of materials compared to the target
levels and if below the target level they will enter production orders in
SAP to create more material. The employee will operate with a defined set
of business rules executing basic SAP transactions and using point & click
Excel based tools. In addition they will need to balance the requirements
of the sites reactor operating rules (some products can not run after others
for reactivity issues), asset constraints (having no storage tanks, not
enough production capacity to cover demand, small raw material tank capacities, etc.)
and other competing issues. This role will be located in a central
offsite location versus being at the production facility so communication
with the site will be critical as delays in communication may end up
producing the wrong material or material that is no longer required by
the customers and increasing our costs.
To ensure material availability to meet customer demand requirements
- product at the right place and right time at the lowest cost, meeting inventory targets.
To manage working capital and ensure compliance to inventory targets
Communicate with Replenishment Planner and Customer Service regarding
non-complied orders and in-jeopardy orders.
To ensure that all effected individuals in Manufacturing Operations,
the Material Planner, Supply Chain Planning Analyst and Detailed
Production Scheduler are all on the same page and working towards the same goals.
