Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM) is a national Institute of the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) of India, with primary focus of research on drug discovery from natural products (medicinal plants and microbial species). IIIM is a multi-disciplinary organization encompassing the natural products chemistry, medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, microbiology, biotechnology and botanical sciences.
Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine a constituent establishment of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, wishes to recruit Project Assistants (Technical HR) at various Levels on temporary basis to work in CSIR and other externally funded projects based on available vacancies and to make a panel of the selected candidates for future project positions at the Institute at Jammu or its Branch Laboratory at Srinagar,.
1. PROJECT ASSISTANT LEVEL-I
Essential Qualification : B.Sc with 50% marks
Desirable : Research experience in relevant area.
2. PROJECT ASSISTANT LEVEL-II
Essential Qualification: M.Sc. (Chemical Sciences - Organic /Medicinal /Bio-organic /Analytical / Natural Products/ Pharmaceutical)/ Life sciences such as Microbiology/Biotechnology etc. Bio (Chemo / Pharmaco) informatics, Botanical and Agricultural sciences) or equivalent or B.E. / B. Tech in Biotechnology / Chemical Engineering) or B.Pharma or BAMS with 55% Marks
Desirable: Research experience in relevant area
3. PROJECT ASSISTANT LEVEL-III
Essential Qualification: M.Sc. (Chemical Sciences- Organic / Medicinal/ Bio-organic / Analytical/ Natural Products/ Pharmaceutical) / Life sciences such as Microbiology / Biotechnology etc.
Bio (Chemo /Pharmaco)informatics, Botanical and Agricultural sciences) with 2 years research experience or equivalent or M.E. / M. Tech in Biotechnology / Chemical engineering) or M.Pharma with 55% Marks
Desirable : Research experience in relevant area.
4. PROJECT ASSISTANT LEVEL-IV
Essential Qualification: Ph.D (Chemical Sciences/ Pharmaceutical Sciences /Life Sciences)
Desirable : Research experience in relevant area.
Age and stipend for the above positions is as under :-
POST STIPEND Age as on 28.02.2013
P.A. LEVEL-I Rs. 8,000/- (fixed) per month 25 years
P.A. LEVEL-II Rs. 12,000/-(fixed) per month 28 years
P.A. LEVEL-III Rs. 14,000/- (fixed) per month 32 years
P.A. LEVEL-IV Rs.20,000/- (fixed) per month 35 years
Age : Age will be determined as on 28.02.2013. (Relaxation of age is admissible for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/Women/Physically Handicapped categories as per Govt, rules). Relaxation in the upper age limit of 5 years is also applicable for persons who had ordinarily been domiciled in the state of J&K during the period of 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989 subject to production of certificate from the concerned District Magistrate in the J&K within whose jurisdiction he/she had ordinarily been resided or from any other authority designated in this behalf by the Govt, of J&K to the effect that he/she had ordinarily being domiciled in the J&K during the period of 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989.
In case of SC/ST candidates the qualifying marks shall be relaxed by 5%
Tenure : ONE YEAR : likely to be extended.
