Our laboratories are very well equipped and enriched with ultra-modern facilities designed according to the norms of statutory bodies. The sophisticated instruments available include Auto-analyzer, Plethysmometer (Hugo-Basile,Italy) , Histamine Chamber, Metabolic cages. The department is involved in active research at molecular level in preclinical screening of lead molecules from synthetic as well as natural origin.

Integrating the classroom and laboratory experience is the main objective of the training course.The session will cover conceptual understanding related to industrial training models along with practical exposure to experimental techniques.

INDUSTRIAL TRAINING IN EXPERIMENTAL PHARMACOLOGY (ITEP)
This training course aims to equip participants with basics of regulatory aspects along with skills important experimental techniques for evaluation of drugs like anti-inflammatory, anti-asthmatic, anti-convulsant, anti-ulcer agents etc. The training is useful for students aiming to pursue their career in clinical research organizations, involved in pre-clinical screening and drug discovery .The Training course with hands-on experience will help the participants to develop understanding of regulatory aspects and trends in experimental pharmacology.

INDUSTRIAL TRAINING IN ANALYTICAL INSTRUMENTATION / QUALITY CONTROL (ITQC)
This practical training course aims to equip participants with skills required to handle and operate sophisticated analytical instruments , latest techniques and explore their application in various fields. The training will include scientific sessions to discuss the Theoretical aspects of the analytical tools like introduction to instrumentation and operation, trouble shooting, validation & calibration, method development and pharmaceutical applications.This will be followed by practical hands-on training on various analytical instruments for quality control.

HANDS ON TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED ON THE FOLLOWING INSTRUMENTS

• High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC):
  
• High Performance Thin Layer Chromatography (HPTLC)
  
• Ultraviolet and Visible Absorption Spectroscopy (UV-VIS)
  
• FT-IR Spectroscopy (FTIR)
  

INDUSTRIAL TRAINING IN Structural Elucidation of Organic Compounds (ITSE)
The main purpose of this training is to provide an overview of modern spectroscopic techniques for structure elucidation (UV, IR, NMR and MS) of organic compounds. This training course includes both theoretical and practical componentsin order to build upon the knowledge required to obtain basic structural information, achieve compound identification and quantitative analysis.The mains objectives include:
• Understanding the principles and applications of UV, IR, NMR and mass spectroscopy
• Interpretation of spectra’s
• Structural elucidation of small organic molecules through Problem solving

Also, the participants can send the IR, NMR and Mass Spectra of compounds for interpretation during the workshop.
