Gujarat Ayurved University, Jamnagar announces admission to M.Pharm (Ayu)/ M.Sc (Medicinal Plants) courses for 2014 session. 

This University is administratively linked to Ministry of Health and Family Welfare both at State and Centre-indicating its special status

1) Master degree in Medicinal Plant Sciences - M.Sc (Medicinal Plant)
2) Master degree in Pharmacy (Ayurveda) - M.Pharm (Ayu.)

Master degree in Medicinal Plant Sciences - M.Sc (Medicinal Plant)

Duration: 2 years

Eligibility

Qualification: Graduate in any of the following disciplines Botany, Pharmacy, Agriculture or Ayurveda

Age: Minimum 20 years

No of Seats: 15 (Few seats are reserved for foreign students)

Medium of teaching: English

Mode of Examination: Annual, at the end of each academic year

Fee: Rs. 40,000/- per annum in 4 installments for Indian Students and 200/- US $ per month for foreigners

40% concession in tuition fee and registration fee for candidates from SAARC countries and NRI sponsored candidates

Application fee: Rs. 1000 (20 US$ for foreign students)

Lodging: Foreign Students will be provided accommodation in International Scholars Hostel. At present there is no hostel facility for candidates from India.

Master degree in Pharmacy (Ayurveda) - M.Pharm (Ayu)

This is a master Degree course to provide in depth knowledge of Ayurvedic drugs, their method of manufacturing and also their standardization and quality control aspects

There will be specialization in following subjects:

a) Ayurvedic Pharmaceutics (Rasa Shastra and Bhaishjya Kalapna)
b) Ayurvedic Plant Sciences (Dravyaguna Vigyan)
c) Pharmaceutical Analysis Standardization of Ayurvedic Drugs.
d) Pharmacology & Toxicology of Ayurvedic Drugs.
e) Pharmacognosy & Photochemistry of Ayurvedic Drugs.
The course comprises of both theoretical and practical training
Duration: 2 years

Eligibility

Qualification: B.Pharm (Ayu.) / B.Pharm (Modern) Degree

Age: Minimum 20 years

Starting of Session: July, each year

No of Seats: 15 (fifteen)

Medium of teaching: English

Mode of Examination: Annual, at the end of each academic year

Fee: Rs. 50,000/- per annum in 4 installments for Indian Students and 200 US $ per month for foreigners
40% concession in tuition fee and registration fee for candidates from SAARC countries and NRI sponsored candidates

Application fee: Rs 1000/- (20 US$ for foreign students)
